CLOUD SOLUTIONS
Nobody reads ads. People read what interests them and sometimes it’s an ad. Howard Luck.
Introduction
Cloud services refer to a wide range of resources and applications delivered over the internet, rather than being hosted locally on a user's own hardware or infrastructure. These services are typically provided by third-party vendors who maintain large data centers and offer computing resources on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Infrastructure as a Service
IaaS provides virtualized computing resources over the internet. Users can rent virtual machines, storage, and networking resources from a cloud provider.
Examples: Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2, Microsoft Azure.
Platform as a Service
PaaS offers a platform allowing customers to develop, run, and manage applications without dealing with the underlying infrastructure.
Examples: Heroku, Google App Engine, Microsoft Azure App Service.
Software as a Service
SaaS delivers software applications over the internet, typically on a subscription basis. Users access these applications via a web browser.
Examples: Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce.
Function as a Service
FaaS allows developers to deploy individual functions or pieces of code that run in response to events. Users are charged based on the number of executions.
Examples: AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, Azure Functions.
Database as a Service
DBaaS provides managed database solutions, allowing users to host, manage, and scale databases without the need for setting up and maintaining the underlying infrastructure.
Examples: Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL.
Networking as a Service
NaaS provides networking capabilities such as virtual private networks (VPNs), load balancers, and firewalls as a cloud-based service.
Examples: AWS Direct Connect, Google Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
